ABOUT ME
I’m a Philadelphia-based illustrator and cartoonist. As an illustrator, I am focused on narrative and story-driven art. From comics to table-top games, it is greatly important to me to breathe life into a story through the illustrations I create. I take great pride in the wacky and outlandish, I really aim to make my mark with cartoon-y and stylized illustrations. I believe there is a story to be captured or a moment of time to represent in
any illustration.
I studied Illustration at Tyler School of Art and Architecture's Design & Illustration program receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Illustration. While at Tyler I also pursued printmaking and graphic design.
I love taking the old and seeing the new it can bring the narrative crafted within illustrations; whether that be Atomic Age architecture, Expressionist paintings, Russian Constructivist or Bauhaus design. When it comes to character and concept design work, my heart heavily lies with the cartoons of the early to mid 2000’s. Jackson Publick, Scott Campbell, Jhonen Vasquez, and Jamie Hewlett are some of the many artists that lead me to love creating unique characters and the worlds they inhabit. I love all things non-conventional, no character with the exact same face, no object completely symmetrical.
I find great enjoyment in cooking, video games, acting, puppet making and performing, screen printing, and playing bass (though I’m not quite good yet). If you’re a Philly local you may even catch me acting aAt Halloween Nights over the Fall season! I am a parent to a cat named Juniper and a lovebird named Dakota. I am a hobbyist writer, something that enjoy applying in both my acting and my illustrative endeavors. Wherever there is creativity to be had I will
